Vicenza Elementary School

Dear Vicenza Elementary School Parents and Students:

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Vicenza Elementary School and school year 2006-2007. We look forward to a very challenging and rewarding year for each student. In these times of transition, we are here to support children and their families. We have two counselors within the school, and are fortunate to have community counselors available to work with families. Should you have concerns, please use these resources. We have found that children flourish in routines; therefore, we always strive to keep schedules and activities as normal as possible. Please make sure that you have updated emergency contacts and phone numbers with both the teacher and the office.

We will be selecting new school goals this year, based on school data. The School Improvement Process is a key component of school life, so please consider serving on a School Improvement Team. We will be looking for one each additional parent and teacher member for our School Advisory Committee (SAC). Parents are invited to attend SAC meetings.

We welcome all our new teachers, families and students, and are also pleased to have three student teachers from the University of Phoenix. We appreciate the command’s support to these student teachers. The Vicenza Elementary School Open House will be held at 5 p.m. Sept. 6 th – specifics will be published soon. Parents may meet all our teachers at that time.

Together, we can provide the best learning environment for your children. We encourage parent involvement and really do appreciate your suggestions and questions. We are looking forward to working with you to provide an excellent school experience this year!
